Pre-departure to US

In a matter of days, I will be on a plane to America to further my study. My uncle had gave me an iPad for my study, but I leave an ugly mark on it(sob.....). My road ahead is tough , I hope I can cope with it. America is having winter season now, for a person like me who hate cold , it post a big challenge for me to overcome. I will continue to post more stuff here to share my experiences in US. My English suck!!!!! How to improve it ?!?!
